Description
The Division of Cultural Affairs is responsible for highlighting the exciting and vibrant artistic com- munities that make Jersey City both their homes and their workplaces. Throughout the year, we sponsor and promote numerous art fairs, ethnic festivals and flag raisings, as well as local theatre, film and performing arts. We are a proud partner in the October Jersey City Artists Studio tour, which draws thousands from across the tri-state area.
In addition, the Division of Cultural Affairs promotes Jersey City's unique history, from our 19th Century "Everything For Industry" past to our current postion as New Jersey's Gold Coast. We support patriotic events, including Memorial and Veterans Day activities and do our best to help foster civic pride in our gorgeous and historic neighborhoods.
Check below for a list of our annual Tapestry of Nations Ethnic Festivals. For a complete rundown of all the many exciting things to do and see here in Jersey City, as well as information on hotels and restaurants, please visit our sister site, Destination Jersey City for more information!
