What Is The Census?

Our Nation's Constitution mandates that the entire population be counted every 10 years, determining how"The future is in our hands, Jersey City! Get counted!" Jersey City will be represented in Congress, in the New Jersey General Assembly and in the City Council. I urge all residents to answer the Census questionnaire on April 1, 2010.  An accurate count of Jersey City's population will result in our city receiving its fair share of Federal funding for many programs and projects - such as education, infrastructure and health care - which are vital to our continued growth, revitalization and economic stability. The future is in our hands, Jersey City! Get counted!

Sincerely,
Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy

Why Everyone Should Get Counted
