The Jersey City COVID-19 Hardship Assistance Program will provide one-time emergency assistance of up to $1500 for low to moderate income households (up to 80% AMI)  who can demonstrate financial hardship due to COVID-19. To ensure fairness, all eligible applicants will be entered into a lottery to determine grant awards.

The grant program will make payments directly to service providers or landlords on behalf of an individual or household, covering arrears incurred since March 1, 2020.

Read additional details in our Frequently Asked Questions for Tenants and for Landlords/Property Managers.
