What is C.H.A.T 4 Change?
CHAT4Change (Conversations Help Aid Transformation) is a citywide contest where youth are encouraged to have positive, rewarding interactions with Police Officers and Firefighters at designated times and locations. After your CHAT, you earn a badge. Collect as many badges as you can to earn prizes and be honored at the next National Night Out in your neighborhood.
How does C.H.A.T 4 Change work?
Contest: As a reward for engaging a police officer or firefighter, children up to 18 years old can collect badges. Participants who collect the most badges will win prizes, be honored at your neighborhood National Night Out, and earn the chance to have your picture displayed in City Hall’s Rotunda Art Gallery the month of August. Photographs with first responders will be taken at some events.
Register: When the CHAT 4 Change season is announced, a parent or caregiver registers by emailing [email protected] with participant’s name, age, and address. Once you register you will receive tips on when to find the next badge event.
By the close of the contest, send in the number of total badges collected by each participant. You must also bring all your collected badges to your district’s National Night Out for a final count.
