NOVEMBER 2nd ELECTION INFORMATION

You have 3 WAYS TO VOTE this year in the 11/2/21 general election.
ELECTION DAY - YOUR REGULAR POLLING LOCATION

  • Polls  are open 6am - 8pm
  • Check your sample ballot for your polling location or go to www.njelections.org

VOTE BY MAIL

  •  Applications must be received by October 26th
  • Check your status at Hudson County Clerk’s Office at 201–369- 3470 Option 6 or vote@hcnj.us
  • U.S. Mail - ballot must be postmarked on or before Election Day, 11/2/21
  • Deposit in a Secure Ballot Drop Box no later than 8pm Election Day. Find drop box locations at HERE
  • Deliver your Vote by Mail ballot in person to the Board of Elections located at 257 Cornelison Ave., 4th Floor by 8pm on Election Day

VOTE AT ANY IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING LOCATION

  •  Early Voting Locations will be open Saturday, October 23rd - Sunday, October 31st
  • Hours will be Monday-Saturday, 10am to 8pm and Sunday, 10am to 6pm

Why Should I Apply?

Your community needs you! By staffing a polling location, you will:

  • Earn $14.29 per hour on in-person early voting days and $200 on Election Day.
  • Earn an additional $30 when you attend required training provided by your county’s Board of Elections and fulfill your commitment at the polls.
  • See our great democracy in action, firsthand, and enjoy the feeling that comes with contributing to your local community, your state and your country.

Who Can Apply?

You can apply to serve as a poll worker in New Jersey if you:

  • Are a United States citizen and a resident of New Jersey.
  • Are at least 16 years of age. College and high school students are encouraged to apply.
    Note: Those under 18 years of age will work limited hours per shift. Contact your county’s Board of Elections for further information.
  • Are not running as a candidate in this election.

What Else Do I Need To Know?

Possible work dates span Saturday, October 23 through Sunday, October 31 (the in-person early voting period) and Tuesday, November 2 (Election Day). Hours and days may vary.
