Housing, Economic Development & Commerce (HEDC)

The Department of Housing, Economic Development, and Commerce (HEDC) is responsible for planning and overseeing the orderly growth and development of Jersey City’s residential, commercial, non-profit, and industrial sectors through the coordination of agencies, comprehensive planning, regulation of land use, disbursement of state and federal grant funds, permitting, and code enforcement.  
 
HEDC is also responsible for contributing to the public welfare and quality of life by supporting social services providers, staffing public boards, enforcing building codes, housing codes, rent and tenant laws, and issuing licenses to businesses.

Objection to Issuance of 2020 Entertainment License 12 Coles LLC trading as Gringo's

In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act/Sunshine Law, please be advised that a special meeting of the Jersey City Division of Commerce will be held on
Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 5:30 p.m., City Hall, 280 Grove Street, 2"'1 floor Caucus Room, Jersey City, New Jersey. 
The Director will hear objections to the issuance of an entertainment license for 12 Coles LLC trading as Gringo's located at 12 Coles Street, Jersey City, New Jersey.

2020–2024 Consolidated Plan Survey

The Divisions of Community Development for both Jersey City and Hudson County are determining top priorities for funding and the barriers to fair housing that need to be addressed over the next five years, and we need your input.

The surveys will take less than 10 minutes to complete. Your responses will be valuable in helping the City and County to prepare their 2020–2024 Consolidated Plan (C-Plan) and Fair Housing Reports, containing goals for Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program, Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS, and Emergency Solutions Grants funding. All answers will be kept anonymous.
