SUMMERWORKS SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Summer camp, aquatics programs, parks support
Jersey City residents ages 15-24 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS YEAR
Application deadline: April 11, 2021

City Youth Jobs offers Jersey City residents ages 15 to 24 part-time employment opportunities across city departments and agencies every summer, helping gain meaningful hands-on work experience while supporting essential community programs and services. Annually, more than a dozen city departments and agencies participate in City Youth.

Hands-on work experience may include helping plan and organize community festivals and events with the Division of Cultural Affairs, addressing resident concerns as a member of the Resident Response Center, engaging younger children in the library system’s enrichment programs, life-guarding at one of our many pools managed by the Department of Recreation’s Aquatics Program, serving as a camp counselor at one Recreation’s Summer Fun Camp sites, or helping to keep our community clean through the Department of Public Works. While working on a variety of projects, youth ages 15 – 24 will make a positive contribution to their community and gain the necessary skills along the way to support a successful future.
